.45 ACP 185 Gr. SWC - Sized to .452 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
This is the lightest .45 ACP bullet we offer.
As the headline says, I'm new to polymer coated lead. These things feel slick when I handle them. I got a sample of 3 bullet weights for .45 Auto... I'm looking for a lighter load than commercial 230 ball that will operate a Glock 30 SF carry gun. I'm still messing with seating depth on these, but the accuracy out of said Glock is very good (also first time I've tried lead in a Glock). I've got this 185 over 5.0 grains of BE, It's crisp but much nicer than 230 ball. Thanks Ron on 13th Aug 2020
My first order from Bayou was after reading a Reddit post about the service received from them. Dennis went the extra mile for a customer and gave him a great experience, and I figured anyone willing to do that was worthy of my business. After shooting up 1000 bullets, the second order (for 2500) was because the bullets are great too. For the quality and service, I'd pay more for the product than I would otherwise, but the nice thing is....I don't have to, the price equals the lowest I'd found anywhere else. Triple-play for the win, you won't go wrong with bullets from Dennis at Bayou Bullets. Rich Naughtin on 17th Feb 2020
I have been a caster for over 40 years and these are the best bullets I have shot. Very accurate and clean. These are very hard, clean to handle, no smoke and there is no leading in barrel after a long target session. Load these at 1.245 OAL with a starting load of Tightgroup in my ATI 1911A1. I've switched to these 45cal. SWC Bayou's and they really shoot great out of my Range Officer. I highly recommend these in Ranges that you can only shoot lead bullets in. A lot cleaner also. FRANCISCO GONZALEZ JR on 7th May 2019
I've shot a number of different Lead and coated bullets but the Bayou bullets are the best out there. I've loaded and shot thousands of these bullets and without question are the most accurate bullets I've shot. The 185 Gr feed very well and the coating never comes off. If your tired of the smoke from the lead bullets STOP wasting your time and just buy these you won't be disappointed. David Goss on 12th Jan 2019
My experience shooting the M-1911 goes back many years. I was a member of a military shooting team for over 14 years. The pistol squad shot NRA Bullseye (.22, CF, .45). Most of us used the 45 in the center fire stages since we only had to own and master two instead of three pistols. For most of my competitive career I used bullets that I cast using the H&G 68 SWC in 45 cal weighing 200 grains, sized and lubed with a star machine. I have been out of competition since 1994 and don't cast bullets anymore although I enjoy the reloading almost as much as the informal shooting. I have used bullets from several manufactures, and have found yours shoot as well as the others but are cleaner and do not foul the barrels with lead. Dwight Leffel on 22nd Nov 2018
Recommended by a friend. I was shooting cast bullets of same weight. Once I used the coated bullets I will never look back. Great product, great people.

This is my sixth plus buy of these bullets and they continued to perform great. The big plus is a cleaner, less lead build up, barrel. Unknown on 3rd Oct 2018
