.44 Caliber 240 Gr. SWC - Sized to .430 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
A hard hitting .44 in the popular Keith design.
I loaded these up around 950 fps to shoot out of my Taurus Tracker. Clean and accurate. I tried same load in my 12" Encore, getting 1125 fps. Then shot a one hole group at 40 yards. Roger Smith on 27th Mar 2018
Sent an E mail on a Sunday afternoon asking about .431 diameter bullets. Within 10 minutes I had received a phone call, explaining the availability and how to order the oversize. Later that same Sunday evening I placed my order online. The order was delivered to me on Thursday.
Have only loaded and fired 40 of these so far, but they are very clean and very accurate.
Very pleased with the product and the service. John HicksLANE on 14th Feb 2018
Ordered a sample pack of these mainly to punch paper and practice free hand shooting with a ruger redhawk 7.5 inch barrel. Used unique powder and these bullets shot absolutely awesome. Will be ordering 500 more very soon. Customer service is outstanding. They shipped lightening fast. I had a question on them and asked through the contact us section and got a very prompt answer. I foresee using lots of these bullets in the future. Christian Margeson on 15th Jan 2018
They shipped the bullets out immediately. They all weigh within half a grain of 240. You can push them too goofy magnum velocities with no problem. Finally, the hi Tek looks great. What more do you need? John Staunton on 23rd Dec 2017
I loaded 50 each of the Bayou 44 cal. 240 gr. gold coated bullets and my own cast coated copper red 240 gr. bullet with a copper gas check and 50 of the Xtreme 240 gr. copper plated bullets. I used the same charge of 7.5 gr. Univ. Clays in starline 44 mag. brass and Winchester primers for all 150 cartridges. The results were both coated bullets were more accurate than the plated bullets and no sign of leading. My own coated and gas checked bullets left the bore the cleanest but cost about the same as the Bayou bullets. The plated bullets cost about $.06 more per round and are less accurate. From now on I'll be shooting the Bayou product and buying them in the 1900 case lot the only drawback I can see is my lady mail carrier can't lift the 70 pound box. Lew Medlin on 10th Dec 2017
I saw a good review on a reloading forum and ordered 100 to try in my S&W 629 .44 Mag. They were shipped the same day and came nicely packaged. The bullets looked really good especially the coating which was clean and durable. They shot and grouped beautifully behind 6 grains of "Clays" powder which is a nice target load. No smoke or fouling. You couldn't ask for better performance. I immediately turned around and ordered 500 more. I love these bullets! Nick Kopcha on 7th Dec 2017
I have not loaded any 44 mag. cartridges yet but they work great in 44 spl. with no signs of leading. My pet load for 44 mag has been a 240gn Lee cast bullet with a copper gas check that I apply 3 coats of hi-tec coating over 7.5 to 8.3 gr of univ. clays. If the Bayou bullet works as good as my own coated bullets I'll be buying all my bullets from Bayou from now on. lew med on 28th Nov 2017
Been using these in my 44 Specials, just ordered another case. Liking these bullet. Will be trying these in my 44 magnums eventually. My new 44 bullet!! CHARLES B CRAFT on 17th Sep 2017
Ordered the 240 gr SWC for a new Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter. Loaded with IMR-4227, H110 and W296. Didn't seem to matter. The gun likes them all. At 1050-1100 fps there was absolutely no leading. At 50 yds from the bench I was holding 1.500" to 2.000" groups scoped. Will be using this gun for deer this fall here in CNY. billybee1 on 17th Aug 2017
Wasn't sure how these would work so I only ordered a small pack to test. I worked up two sets of test loads. Using 2400 powder, I got 1425fps with max charge from my 10" Ruger Super Blackhawk and accuracy appears to be good. The loads I worked up with BE86 powder were about 175fps slower but also seemed accurate, so these will be good reduced recoil plinking loads. I did not shoot many rounds yet, but did not notice any leading or fouling in the barrel. I need to load up more and test a little further, which is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.
