    1. Great Product, Fast Shipping

.40 S&W 200 grain RN bullets work great in my single stack. These are the only bullets that I can get to run reliably. Will buy from now on. on 19th Jan 2017

    2. Another great bullet to consider for USPSA Limited Major

A great alternative to a 180g bullets for major power factor loads on 19th Oct 2016

    3. Only Bullet that I Use!

I have been using the 200gr .40's for a couple of years and found them to be very consistent. I won't use anything else! on 30th Apr 2016

    4. outstanding

Once again great bullets and service. They shoot tight groups and function smoothly. Thanks to all at Bayou Bullets on 16th Mar 2016

    5. accurate bullet for USPSA

I've been using this bullet for my major loads and couldn't be happier with it! on 18th Feb 2016

    6. Good Value

If you want to shoot lead out of a Glock, this seems to be a good option. I've put about 250 of the 200 gr 10 mm bullets through my G20 doing load development. They run clean as a whistle. Kind smell funny, like burnt electrical insulation. But I don't mind that. It goes away quickly. Good bullets at a good price. Will continue to use them. on 20th Nov 2015

    7. 200 gr. .40 cal coated bullets

Used these in the last two IPSC matches. NICE! Easy shooting and accurate. Easy to reload and feed great in my STI Edge. I am going to have to start buying in larger quantities, I will be shooting this one a lot. on 28th Sep 2015

    8. Great bullets!

These are fantastic! The coating is strong and uniform, no smoke, and they shoot great. on 16th Sep 2015

    9. .40 200gr RN for USPSA part 2.....

This is a continuation of the review I wrote for the 100 count package of these bullets. I ordered a case and it arrived in North Dakota in 3 days. The bullets were packaged very well and nothing was damaged.

Today I was able to load 500 of these up. While I was working I sat aside a sample of twenty random bullets in order to measure three things: overall length, diameter, and weight. I was very pleased with the results. When I measured the Bayou Bullets for overall length, the longest was .688" while the shortest was .685" with the majority measuring in at .686" that's +/- .002" OAL! One competitor's jacketed bullets measured in at +/- .001" consistency, while another competitor's plated bullets varied by .013" from longest to shortest; that's +/- .007" consistency which I believe is unacceptable.

When measured for diameter, two of the twenty Bayou Bullets measured in at exactly .401" while the rest were slightly under in the .4005" - .4008" range (eyeballing ten-thousandths) which in my eyes is very consistent +/- .0005". One competitor's jacketed bullets measured in at .401 perfectly, while the plated competitor's bullets measured between .400" and .402" or +/-.001".

When measured for weight the heaviest Bayou Bullet weighed in a 199.2 grains while the lightest weighed 197.8 giving an average weight of 198.6 grains, an extreme spread of 1.4 grains and a standard deviation of .16 grains. Both the jacketed and plated bullets were slightly more consistent in weight with the jacketed bullet being the most consistent.

I believe the reason my hand-loads are so consistent and accurate are because of the consistent weight, diameter and overall length of Bayou Bullets. I believe that the consistency in OAL and diameter leads to more consistent bullet seating depth, cartridge overall length, chamber pressures, and rifling engagement which in turn yields more consistent velocities and down range performance.

Now consider the price.....the .40 200gr RN cost 9.9 cents each shipped to my house. Comparable plated bullets range from 11 to 13 cents each before shipping while jacketed bullets range from 16 to over 20 cents each before shipping. It's a no-brainer....I save money and get the same if not better performance out of a coated lead projectile than I do with a jacketed or plated bullet. I will choose Bayou Bullets every time!

    10. .40 200gr RN for USPSA part 1.....

I recently began working up a major load for my 5" STI Edge. I have tried several different bullet designs including FMJ, TMJ, plated, and coated lead with a few different powders of varying charge weights. I found that a combination of 4.9 grains of Hodgdon Longshot over a federal small rifle primer with the Bayou Bullet 200gr round nose seated at an OAL of 1.180 produced a ten round average velocity of 838fps which exceeds USPSA major power factor requirements. Most impressive about this combination was the fact that of the ten rounds fired I had an extreme spread of 14fps with a standard deviation of 4fps, all loaded on a progressive press! Of the 100,000+ rounds of ammo I've reloaded this is the most consistent pistol load I've ever measured. As far as accuracy is concerned the Bayou Bullets hang right there with premium jacketed brands and far exceed that of which I was able to print with plated brands in my gun. At 25 yards standing unsupported I was able to hold a 20 round pattern inside of 4 inches. The round nose design feeds flawlessly in my gun and I did not notice any abnormal amounts of lead or powder fouling after a 200 round practice session. That said I ordered a 2200 count case of these bullets, after I load and fire a few thousand more I should be able to give a fair assessment of the overall performance of these bullets. on 8th Sep 2015
