.44 Caliber 240 Gr. SWC - Sized to .430 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
A hard hitting .44 in the popular Keith design.
500 Count
I shoot these in my Henry Big Boy as both special and magnum loads. Red or Gold coating makes gas check optional, I use no gas check. JohnH3 on 20th Feb 2016
Ran 50 of these through my 1894 Marlin in .44 Mag (MicroGroove barrel). Went with .431 diameter as Donnie recommended. Very clean and very very accurate. Best performance I've had, including several jacketed bullets. Didn't have time to do a full cleaning, but after one pass with a bore snake I didn't see a need. Gonna buy a bunch for my .44 and I'm looking forward to trying more Bayou Bullets in my other guns. Unknown on 31st Mar 2015
This is my second order with the boys at Bayou.I have had excellent results with any where from 5.3 grs of unique upwards behind their 230 gr green round nose. Really nice bullet at a most fair price. My latest order was for the 240 gr 44 red "KEITH TYPE " and the only thing I can say at this time is that the ship time was unbelievable ! Ordered on the 13th and received on the 16th ,,,La. to upstate NY. I'm waiting for a case trimmer die so I can get all my old 44 mag cases to the same length , but my suspicions tell me that I'm gonna love these bullet too. Good bunch of guys ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CHECK THEM OUT ! ! Unknown on 20th Mar 2015
I have a S&W model 629 .44 and after researching leading issues with it I found that the 629 has cylinder throats that are too small, referencing SAAMI spec, which results in horrendous leading. I was ready to shelf the gun after going through the process of home copper plating, which didn't survive the tight throats, when I read of other peoples success using the Bayou coated bullets. After loading 100 rounds I found zero leading and can now shoot the .44 without any leading and with impressive accuracy. Thanks dan on 7th Dec 2014
I've been shooting S&W's 44 mag 29's & 629's since 1957. I used nothing but sierra jacketed bullets but because of our incompetent gov. in wash. D.C. I can no longer afford them. several years ago i switched to cast bullets. tried several brands and settled on PENN bullets they make a fine cast bullet, but its still a lubed lead bullet and it requires a lot of clean up after loading and shooting. I finally heard about these coated bullets and decided to try them. I ordered 500 240 gr gold semi wad cutter 44cal. I loaded up loads, using unique, 2400, imr4227 powder slow burning, medium, and fast burning. I varied the loads with each powder from low 955 fps to hi 1467fps with 6" S&W mod 29-5. I took a clean patch with oil ran it down bore twice then dry patch. (WOW)not a trace of lead. dry patch came out clean.I just ordered 1500 of there 215 gr gold bullets. THIS OLD MAN IS IMPRESSED !!!!!!! jerry fox on 28th Jun 2014
