    1. Great bullet for multiple purposes! From steel to bowling pins, major or minor.

Really happy with these light weights in .40 Smith. I've ran about 1000 in the last two weeks in a Glock 22 racegun (LW Glock 35 threaded barrel with TF sight block 5.8in) and 23 carry gun.
Running almost the same load with WST as I run with 180s. Seated about 1.110 OAL The accuracy is what really got me, ran 5 separate 5 shot groups from a bench @ 25yds. They all hovered 1.5-2.5 in. Ill take that all day long. HI-TEK lube is great! Low smoke indoors, and a Glock brush with a lil juice down the bore and your clean enough to shoot another session.

I'm very pleased. Thank you for making great bullets!

    2. Great Bullets - Fast Shipping

I shoot Hi-Tek Bayou Coated Bullets because they are very accurate, priced right, and I get fast shipment on my orders. I have tried several bullet designs in several calibers, i.e. 9mm, 38/357, 40, and 45 to see which does best in the several pistols I have. The 9mm round nose functions in all my pistols and is very accurate. I like the 165 grain un-groved FN 40 cal. bullet in my 40 S&W and the 180 grain in my 10mm. They load easy, leave no residue in the barrel, function the gun properly, and are very accurate. I like all the bullets I have ordered and shot and have no complaints. Good bullets, good company, I'm happy. Lowell Jones - Ardmore, Oklahoma on 11th Feb 2016

    3. They seem accurate

These are accurate and the recoil is very light for a 40 s&w. Shipping was fast. on 22nd Dec 2015

    4. Great Bullets

Use 140 grain, 40cal. These bullets are soft shooting, accurate and clean. Love them!
Great service and reasonable prices. I use them in a Glock and a Hi Point carbine.

    5. Best thing since sliced bread

I switched to these from Montana Gold jackets solely for price, but they've been more accurate, take less powder to make power factor, and the service is superb. Orders come right away and good order tracking is sent right to your email so you know exactly when they'll be at your doorstep. on 17th Jun 2015

    6. a good one

I got these and a bunch or other gr. to play with they are all very good. THis is a great gr. for .40 on 2nd Feb 2015

    7. Absolutely perfect

These bullets shoot flawlessly in my Trojan 5 and God knows 1911 in 40S&W can be finnicky and hard to feed sometimes. I have not had any issue with these as soon as I found the right OAL. They are very accurate and leave the barrel very clean. on 10th Dec 2014

    8. 3 years and still love em'!

Initially tried Bayou Bullets as a cost effective solution for practice and local matches. The claim was that they smoked less than regular cast bullets and about the same as jacketed (w/ lead base exposed) . It is very true! I use the 140gn for .40 minor as it provides a great recoil impulse that is not to snappy nor too slow and with a good powder combination such as 320, wst, solo 1000. I have very consistent, and accurate ammo that I am confident in using even at matches that count!
Also cleanup is a breeze. There is only powder residue to dispose of and no lead build up. I just run a dry boresnake through and it's good to go.

Cost efficient, accurate, less smoke, and easy clean up. All this and Donnie's outstanding customer service. This is why I keep coming back!

    9. Perfect for Compensated Schuemann 10mm Auto Barrel in an STI Trojan (1911)

Shooting this out of a 3 chamber 3 port compensator. I usually try to stay around 1300 fps (so my Shooting Chrony says). Have taken another company's "HI-TEK" 140 grn offering to over 1400 fps. Barrel and compensator stays pretty clean. After over 1500 rounds from both the other company and Bayou, only slightly more build up in my comp than jacketed bullets. But, I get better accuracy from "HI-TEK" coated bullets than I do out of 155 or 165 grn Montana Gold JHPs at 25 yards. All I do to clean my comp is use a Q-Tip to swab on Kroil and Shooter's Choice to mop up the carbon fouling. With this 140 grn head, I usually use 8.5-9.0 grns Power Pistol or 9.2-9.8 grns LongShot. I have two compensated 1911 45s and a compensated STI 2011 38 Super. Bayou will be getting all of my "HI-TEK" business now that they have upgraded/updated their website...don't have to call them anymore. I'll be trying this head out on 40SW "non-compensated" pistols...maybe when I put in another order for 3000 140grn 10mm Bayou bullets...should be soon. on 21st Aug 2014
