I was trying to replicate the 69 ft./lbs. of recoil and low report from a .32 S&W (short) load that my wife liked to use in our old GP100 .327 revolver, in a round for my new 6" GP100 in .357 Mag.
I used 2.59 grains of Trail Boss with the 95 grain coated LRN from Bayou Bullets and calculated 70 ft./lbs. of recoil and got a low report. I got a reasonable group at 10 yards and not as good @25 yards. I increased the load to 2.81 grains of Trail Boss and got 80 ft./lbs. of recoil with a little more report and a slight muzzle rise. The grouping tightened up at 10 and 25 yards. Tomorrow my wife will try it out and let me know if she likes it.
I ordered several of the lower weight .357 bullets in the 100 round bags for this application late at night (early morning) and called the next day to find out how long the delivery would take. I was told the order would go out that day and I received the order a few days later. This was remarkable because it all occurred during the week of Christmas.
I look forward to working up loads for the remaining light weight bullets just to see how accurate I can get them to shoot. Unknown on 31st Dec 2015
Her Charter Arms Pink Lady is cute, but at 12oz, standard 38 Special loads sting even the most hardened shooter. Load these bullets with a few grains of TrailBoss and you will have the perfect load to start training. Add more powder as she becomes better. I got the Red Copper and call them her "Lip Stick" loads. Duane Allen on 7th Oct 2015
