.38/.357 160 Gr. RN - Sized to .358 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
This bullet is extremely popular with IDPA, USPSA and ICORE shooters, shoots very accurately in stock revolvers and with it’s pointed nose and no shoulder these bullets speed load extremely well. Works great with .38 short colt brass too. Requires a taper crimp.
In .38 Super Revolvers we recommend these be sized to .357
Great bullett! Clean, consistent weight, and very accurate in 38 Special loads. My reloading dies stay clean and don't get gunked up. The service I received from Bayou was fast and efficient. I ordered these on a Tuesday afternoon and they were delivered on Friday; you can't get faster service than that. Tom M in Sharpsburg, GA on 13th Feb 2015
I love Bayou Bullets and have only used the 160gr for 38S and have put about 3500 down range, very accurate and great to load. When my other supplies of bullets run out for my other calibers, I will be using Bayou Bullets for all pistol reloading. Ron H on 4th Dec 2014
Weight is very consistent. They are very clean. Great customer service and good price. Unknown on 13th Nov 2014
Very happy with your product and great customer service Bob McCarthy on 15th Aug 2014
I've been reloading with Bayou Bullets for several years and never had a bad experience. Just tried the 160 gr .38's and glad to report they are just as accurate as all the other BB's I've used over the years. These great bullets are not only accurate; they leave no residue in the barrel and make the gun easy to clean. There are lots of places to buy bullets with the same coating that Donnie uses. His are much more uniform and consistent. You just can't go wrong with these bullets. Lewis Freeman on 8th Aug 2014
I got introduced to the Bayou Bullet in 2009 at the NRA Bianchi Cup by Donnie's brother Jerry Miculek. So I started reloading my 38 spl. with the 160 gr.round nose, which shot as accurately as jacketed in my 686.
Soon after, I used it in all my S&W's for ICORE, IPSC,IDPA and Steel Challenge. It reloads like a lead bullet, but acts like a jacketed, only with less recoil. The wear on the barrel is minimized too, which is important with revolvers.
Great product from Donnie.... Jess Christensen on 4th Aug 2014
The coating on these bullets is superb. No leading of the barrel at all and very little smoke generated over exposed lead bullets. They are more economical that FMJ bullets and Donnie ships extremely fast and box contents well protected from shipping mishandling.
Another nice feature is that they are offered in colors. I am able to categorize with colors the various weights of my caliber specific bullets and able to determine the weight of a loaded bullet just by the color of the round. 40n45 on 1st Aug 2014
Bayou Bullets have always produced excellent quality and value with first class service. Brandon Hill on 28th Jul 2014
I use em in 38 short colt, 9mm, 40 and 45.
I can use less powder and still make power factor. I don't even look at any competitor's bullets anymore. Dennis Tucker on 25th Jul 2014
Purchased these to shoot in a 686 pro series for IDPA competition. These bullets are great, they pattern well, virtually no lead smoke cloud (some powder smoke), and a durable coating. The coating the and consistency of weight and diameter for lead bullets was very surprising. Unknown on 4th Jul 2014
