.38/.357 160 Gr. RN - Sized to .358 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
This bullet is extremely popular with IDPA, USPSA and ICORE shooters, shoots very accurately in stock revolvers and with it’s pointed nose and no shoulder these bullets speed load extremely well. Works great with .38 short colt brass too. Requires a taper crimp.
In .38 Super Revolvers we recommend these be sized to .357

Not a pro shooter or reloader, but enjoy both tremendously. Learned about Bayou Bullets from a USPSA survey of competition revolver shooters. Built 4 loads and tested/chrono'ed at the range today. Everything positive that I've read is true... less powder for more power, and accurate. My primary is a S&W 586-3, 4 inch, which is what was used for the chrono data.
Using TiteGroup, with a COAL of 1.51, Federal Match Small Pistol primers, and brass saved from factory 38 loads, obtained these result averages (minimum 10 rounds per data set)
3.2 grains: 705 fps, 9 fps std dev, 112 PF
3.4 grains: 732 fps, 14 fps std dev, 117 PF
3.6 grains: 770 fps, 10 fps std dev, 123 PF
3.8 grains: 778 fps, 13 fps std dev, 124 PF
I can't explain the minimal difference between 3.6 & 3.8, but not too concerned. I've found the load that I want, and the bullet that I will hopefully be using for many IDPA & Steel Challenge matches to come.
Great product... Incredible personal customer service... you have changed the game for me.

I have been ordering my bullets exclusively from Bayou and have been more than satisfied.. The bullets are consistently high quality. I am also extremely impressed with their customer service and shipping. They are always quickly responsive to my questions and shipping is the fastest I've experienced with any company!

I'm a first time buyer from Bayou Bullets. They were sitting on my doorstep three days later and exactly what I paid for. They are uniform and evenly coated. No issues with leading in the barrel or my Dillon press. The price is excellent for what you get. My only regret is not buying a larger quantity. This bullet profile works great for quick reloads. Great service! Great product! bukemoto@gmail.com on 16th May 2017
Haven't had a chance to load or shoot the bullets yet. Sure I will be satisfied, bought them for I.C.O.R.E.
Just an F.Y.I. - unpacked the box and found about half the heads outside of the original box and inside the postal shipping box. It appeared the bayou box had split along one of the corners. John Schatzel on 10th Mar 2017
These are very accurate out of my S&W 327. Make minor PF for USPSA with 2.8 gr N310 Unknown on 24th Jan 2017
Well a friend recommended your bullet company to me, and I trust his judgment. I am very new to reloading and didn't know what companies to trust. Well your company has earned my trust and business, great prices, products and spot on delivery. I purchased 160 grain .38/.357 RN bullet in red copper and 165 grain .40 s&w in green, which I was sent black cherry instead. Truth be told I like the black cherry better. I have told any one that will listen about your company, so keep doing what your doing. B. Summers on 30th Oct 2016
I am very happy with Bayou Bullets 160 grain Round Nose Bullets. They are good! But what sets them apart is the service I get when ordering. Within 2 days my order was delivered to me in the small town of Hanna, Oklahoma. Unknown on 2nd Jun 2016
Excellent product, great pricing. VERY CONSISTENT FROM ORDER TO ORDER. Unknown on 31st May 2016
I have just started shooting revolver division in IDPA and have been looking for a heavy .38 bullet that loads quickly from a speed loader, I can load to meet power factor, shoots accurately and will not foul my barrel. I am happy to say that Bayou 160 grain coated bullets meet or exceed my expectations. my bullets arrived at my house in Anaheim Calif. just four business days after I ordered them (my mail carrier did not look happy about it). I will be ordering more soon. Dave V. (Anaheim Dave) on 26th Mar 2016
