.38/.357 105 Gr. FP - Sized to .358 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
A great choice for Steel Challenge and Cowboy Action type matches. Has a crimp groove.
I've used this bullet in various loads from .38 special with Trailboss to my current load which is a shortened case (9mm length) with 2.8 grains of Clays. Super accurate and very consistent load. Shot thousands of rounds with 2.3 , shoots soft but a little slow. Over all this is a fun bullet to use and at 40 yards will hold a group and not tumble at any speed so far. B Hough on 17th Aug 2016
Loads easily, very accurate low recoil round for SASS competition. Ron on 30th Jul 2016
outstanding. most accurate 105 thats been down my barrel. Unknown on 17th Jul 2016
It is a challenge to find a round which will consistently make IDPA power factor (with 38 spl, REV Class) with a charge/bullet weight combo that will stay below plus P. I shoot mostly a S & W mdl 15 with 2 inch barrel, 38 spl. This revolver can be used in both SSR and Bug divisions. I have used 158 g, 135g, 125g. To consistently reach power factor I've found that loads must push the low end of plus P with those rounds.
I have now had the chance to evaluate several loads with 105g 38 spl round ordered. I find that again, I'm beginning to push plus P. With 4.9 grains of 231, Power Factor is made. At these velos, the rounds runs flat, good point of hold, with very manageable muzzle flip, the pulse is noticeable as is the muzzle blast. The price paid for pushing this round is that the bullet coating leaves residue on/in the weapon. There is not enough power factor available to lighten the powder charge. Of course with a milder load the bullets run clean. The velos well below IDPA minimum power factor.
I'd like to stick with this round for its down range accuracy provided coating residue is easy to remove. The jury is still out. Allen on 10th Jun 2016
First of all, the bullets arrived in three business days. Made the cartridges with the new bullets. Results; used less clays gun powder, the revolver recoil was almost next to nothing, bullets hit the steel targets, increased my speed of fire, and the barrel had zero leading compared to using other lead bullets. I will purchase more bullets!

These Bayou 105's are the best.. using .38 spl brass. The truncated cone is long enough to make them easily "feed'able" in a Winchester 1873 rifle,, any shorter, they won't reliably feed.. And, the 105 gr bullet shoots with the recoil of a .22 rimfire!
The Bayou bullets are "harder" than the standard lead bullet,, and they have no lube to mess up the reloading dies, and your bench.. (and they make a nice sounding "clink" when reloaded!)
When I field tested them outside, shooting them into the sun (looking for smoke) the Bayou's definitely had about 30% less smoke.. Combine that with the cost of Bayou Bullets being exactly the same, or LESS than other comparable companies, AND, the fact that I received my shipment from Bayou Bullets in 3 days (yes 3 days!!),, I intend to be a Bayou customer from now on. I load mine with a "bottom of the range" grains of Bullseye. Accurate and not too much recoil for practicing with a S&W 642 which is my carry gun. It is very small which makes it easy to carry but not friendly for long practice sessions until I came up with this light load........Jim Jim Owens on 7th Oct 2015
Shipping speed was great, had them in 2 days. Package was completely wrapped in box tape so pretty much waterproof which was good as it was left out in the rain. Quality of the bullets is amazing, completely uniform, no sprue, and coating was uniform on all of the bullets I checked. They loaded well and with the coating no dealing with either lead or wax lube. I have not had a chance to shoot yet, but I will definitely be buying more. Very satisfied. Adam on 3rd Sep 2015
I was looking for a bullet that would give me the power factor I needed for IDPA Back Up Gun in my Charter Arms Police Undercover. I could get there with jacketed 110 grain bullets but at such a price! The Bayou Bullets 105 grain flat point did the trick - and it's really accurate in the Charter. Also works in my Ruger Match Champion to give me the power factor I need for regular revolver class, and with very little recoil. And, again, very, very accurate. Oh and no leading! During my last few trips to the range, I shot groups with these bullets over enough W231 to get about 650 FPS from the 2" barrel in my Taurus PolyProtector revolver.
Consistently getting about 1" to 1.5" groups at 25ft (5 shot groups).
My best grouping was 3/4" for a 4 shot group... I pulled the 5th shot, making it a 1.125" group. :)
These are now my GO-TO bullets for ultra-light 38 Special loads. Rich Alloway on 22nd Apr 2015
