    1. accurate bullet for USPSA

I've been using this bullet for my major loads and couldn't be happier with it! on 17th Feb 2016

    2. .40 200gr RN for USPSA part 2.....

This is a continuation of the review I wrote for the 100 count package of these bullets. I ordered a case and it arrived in North Dakota in 3 days. The bullets were packaged very well and nothing was damaged.

Today I was able to load 500 of these up. While I was working I sat aside a sample of twenty random bullets in order to measure three things: overall length, diameter, and weight. I was very pleased with the results. When I measured the Bayou Bullets for overall length, the longest was .688" while the shortest was .685" with the majority measuring in at .686" that's +/- .002" OAL! One competitor's jacketed bullets measured in at +/- .001" consistency, while another competitor's plated bullets varied by .013" from longest to shortest; that's +/- .007" consistency which I believe is unacceptable.

When measured for diameter, two of the twenty Bayou Bullets measured in at exactly .401" while the rest were slightly under in the .4005" - .4008" range (eyeballing ten-thousandths) which in my eyes is very consistent +/- .0005". One competitor's jacketed bullets measured in at .401 perfectly, while the plated competitor's bullets measured between .400" and .402" or +/-.001".

When measured for weight the heaviest Bayou Bullet weighed in a 199.2 grains while the lightest weighed 197.8 giving an average weight of 198.6 grains, an extreme spread of 1.4 grains and a standard deviation of .16 grains. Both the jacketed and plated bullets were slightly more consistent in weight with the jacketed bullet being the most consistent.

I believe the reason my hand-loads are so consistent and accurate are because of the consistent weight, diameter and overall length of Bayou Bullets. I believe that the consistency in OAL and diameter leads to more consistent bullet seating depth, cartridge overall length, chamber pressures, and rifling engagement which in turn yields more consistent velocities and down range performance.

Now consider the price.....the .40 200gr RN cost 9.9 cents each shipped to my house. Comparable plated bullets range from 11 to 13 cents each before shipping while jacketed bullets range from 16 to over 20 cents each before shipping. It's a no-brainer....I save money and get the same if not better performance out of a coated lead projectile than I do with a jacketed or plated bullet. I will choose Bayou Bullets every time!

    3. 200gn Bayou Bullets for Production and Limited USPSA use

Recently I puchased the 200gn Bayou Bullets to try in Production and Limited. I previously used 180gn Bayou Bullets. With the 200gn I was able to drop my powder down to 2.6gn Titegroup for my production gun and 3.8gn for my limited gun. My personal opinion is that I felt a little less recoil with these rounds. I tested my splits and found that they actually decreased .02 seconds. I also did not notice a loss in time regaining the sight picture between shots. Bottom line is BAYOU BULLETS are awesome. Whether you go with the 200gn or even the 180gn bullet they have a great product and excellent customer service. Keep up the great work. on 16th Jul 2015

    4. Thumbs Up For Bayou Bullets

Just got my second case of 200 grain .40 bullets. My gun eats these things like candy and they run through my bullet feeder die/tubes without any problems. on 14th Jul 2015

    5. EXCELLENT!!!!!

EXCELLENT product, excellent service, easy to load...these are my go to bullets for both practice and IDPA matches.... on 8th Jun 2015

    6. 200grain .40S&W, 2200 count - great product/price/service

I am using an Akai gun with an Infinity Ultimatch barrel. I had occasional failures to feed when using the .401 projectiles, so I ordered the .400's. They feed reliably and shoot incredibly well. I highly recommend these for Limited major PF guys looking for a nice, soft load. on 9th Mar 2015

    7. great bullets

I have been using these bullets for two years an they are the best I have used and I have used a lot of different brands! These bullets are the best! on 25th Feb 2015

    8. Great bullets

Great people to work with and very fast shipping. The bullets feed and shoot very accurately in my single stack. I would recommend Bayou bullets and I plan on ordering more when these run out. They feel a little softer to shoot than the jacketed bullets I have been using. on 17th Feb 2015

    9. Bayou bullets are the best.

I have been using the Bayou bullets for several years now. Donnie ships right away and the quality of these bullets are first-rate. I love the fact that these are smokeless bullets. I've used lead bullets with the lubricant and they were very smoky. the weight of the bullets is very consistent from batch to batch. If you're not using Donnie's bullets give them a try, you will not be disappointed. on 14th Jan 2015

    10. No smoke, no grease, just great accuracy with no problems

Slightly over 10k of Bayou bullets in 40 and 45 and a few more k in 9 and 38 super. They all shoot great with no aggravation. The added colors are nice so I can use them for different loads /calibers.
      Great customer service
      Thanks Donnie
