.40 S&W/10mm 140 Gr. FP - Sized to .401 (Typical). Other sizes available upon request call or email for options.
This is the lightest .40 S&W/10mm bullet we offer. Great bullet for “Steel” Shooting. Very Accurate as well.
Brought a SIG P320 with a 3.9" barrel slide, a G24 and a G27 all of which ate the 3 boxes of 50 each with slightly different, low power, weights of Ramshot Silhouette powder. The G24 and G27 had reduced power springs to try to get the ejected cases to get into the case catcher I use.
I'm old and have some arthritis in my hands and would appreciate an easier racking slide which the lighter springs provide.
I went to a 12# Wolff spring on the G24 and plan to bump that to a 14# to see how that does.
The Wolff non-captured G27 spring, which as I remember is -2# from stock, ran like a champ and is noticeably easier to rack.
I have some P320 Legion, full size calibration springs from Armory Craft on order for my next Bayou Bullet, 140gr, TC adventure!

fantastic plinking and target shooting bullets- I actually used these to win my County Law Enforcement class at the NRA National Police Shooting Championships 2 years in a row back when they were held in NM. I wanted a low recoil 40 cal round to compete with all the 9mm mouse fart competitors. These bullets performed really well from my Glock 35. Paul P. on 15th Dec 2020
My personal goal is to match, as close as possible, the POA and POI in .40 S&W firearms that I have .40S&W to 9mm conversion barrels for.
My dynamic duo set of bullets, for the attempt is this Bayou Bullet, 140gr FP and their 9mm, 120gr FP.
After I get the iron sights down, I'll move to these things they call "Red Dots" to see how I can get a match with those.
The people and product here are great and if you give them a try, you will hear what I saw and see what I heard:)
Enjoy the day!

I've run thousands and thousands of these in my M&P. Also in IDPA competition. Always feeds flawlessly. Accurate. Knocks down steel w/no problem. Easy to clean. Unknown on 20th May 2020
My .40 S&W pistols are significantly cleaner compared to lubed lead, after a range session wit B bullets, the little smoke generated is probably only from the powder (Ramshot Competition).
I have several long barrel, .40 S&W pistols that I have .40 S&W to 9mm conversion barrels for and the point of impact of the .40 S&W, 140gr TC is very close to my 9mm, 120gr, TC BB bullets used in the conversion barrels.
Same slide, ergo same sights therefore two guns in one, albeit I do use caliber appropriate magazines. MattD on 5th Sep 2019
I have transitioned from .380 acp, 9 MM and .45 acp lead to Bayou Bullets with the same accuracy and less smoke than the regularly lubed bullets with no problem.
Now, I can add that the 140 gr, coated Bayou bullets are just as good.
They are excellent plate droppers! Matt on 16th Nov 2018
I've been shooting Bayou bullet for a while (8,000 rds) and found that it's doesn't not eliminate or comes close to it.

Bullets are truly smokeless, however, powders like TiteGroup, Bullseye and a few others are not. Unknown on 12th Oct 2018
Great minor power factor load. Just change the bullet from 180 to 140.
Mild recoil . Tim Drum on 28th Sep 2018
These are the best and cleanest coated bullet I have ever shot. Eric Schuster on 31st May 2018
Was getting a lot of rejects from my case gauge and contacted Dennis at Bayou for some help. Ordered some .40's resized to .400 vs. the normal .401...
It is only one thousandth of an inch but only had two rejects from the lot of 100 bullets, when case gauging them for IDPA/USPSA competition.
Honestly the two rejects could have been avoided if I was a bit more careful seating them on my progressive press!!! However the percentage is acceptable
considering the .401's were giving me one hellava' fit when sized.
Well done, Bayou Bullits and thanks for the hat too!!! Kris Bernstein on 25th Mar 2018
